Wild West and Scouts

Friday I headed up to Salt Lake with Holly and Kami. All the West girls were getting together for a girls night. It was so much fun spending time in the car with Kami and Holly. Then when we got to Salt Lake we met up with Julie and got pedicures.

The whole drive from Luke was an angel. He is so good in the car. When we were getting the pedicures he just slept in my arms.

After, we went to Jenny's house for dinner, fun and a slumber party.
Janet stopped by to meet Luke, and Claudia and family were in town and came with her.

That evening all the aunts, cousins and everyone went around and told their dating and proposal stories. It was fun getting to know everyones story better. What an awesome family I married into!

Saturday while we were driving home from Salt Lake Zachary was doing baptisms with the youth and Dave had the other boys in Las Vegas at a scout expo.

Oliver has this to say about it:
There was a lot of cool stuff. There was a game called gaga ball. You knock a ball with your hand, if you hit it over the barrier you're out. If you foot gets touched with the ball you are out. There was a fun obstacle course. The ball game was my favorite.

Coleman:
There was an octagon arena and they had pool noodle swords. If you got both hands or legs hit they were chopped off and you were out. My favorite part was when they taught us how to pan for gold and playing gaga ball.

Ben:
I liked gaga ball. The expo was awesome. I was disappointed that there was not archery.  I liked that it was all about scouts and that we got a patch for going. It says "Mega Scout Expo"

I'm so grateful for a husband that is a dedicated scout and a dedicated father. Dave jokes that Luke doesn't like him much right now since he doesn't have a use for him yet. All too soon he will realize how cool his father real is.
